Thanks for vids Jerkratt! Looks like fun, was that first time you've taken it out to the track?
BTW, how do you like the TRD shocks with tanabe springs? This is same setup I considering, or TRD for both |

My best time was 17.356 with stock airbox, NST pulley & trd exhaust. I'm glad to see some other members on here taking this little car to the drag strip

With the 18.2 I just floored it and went. When I tried to shift I just went slower. Just don't have the coordenation for that I suppose.

Are you guys in Autos or Manuals? I feel like a dork asking, but the the comment about shifting or flooring it had me curious!
How much faster do you feel your car would be with, say, 100 more horsepower?

Mine is AT as well. What I did is put the car in "3", hold the brake and gave it a little throttle (trying to "power brake" netted slower times), then when I saw that last yellow light, floored it. Automatics can and do make it in drag cars, but I think for our HP, a stick might have netted better times. I also removed a bunch of crap from the car, like seats n such. And yes, I would LOVE to give the 1/4 mile another shot with an additional 100hp. Also I would like to try again with a quarter tank of gas, instead of 3/4.

Yeah, I had 3/4s full tank and a full interior. Launched the same way, though. Best R/T was a .004. So the weight and few mods should sccount for the difference.

Tracking this little car can be a contender, not so much for the 1/4 mile. But for fun factor, it's totally worth it, unless you're a sore loser. I was happy I almost won a race, lol.
