TRD Lowering Springs.

I just bought some TRD lowering springs and plan to install them myself or have a mechanically inclined friend do it. However, my question is the following: When installing the front springs, do you HAVE to cut the plastic spacer at the top of the shock? I have seen other people recommending this on other posts for other springs but have not heard this for TRD springs. Is this a typical thing? If I were to have the dealer install the springs, would they cut the spacer as well? Or if I were to bring it to a general garage, would they know whether or not this needed to be done?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I put the TRD's on mine. Did not cut the bump stops. I think if it was necessary it would have been in the installation guide. It's not, and I haven't had any issues.

Bump stops should be cut in half on springs that lower more than 1.5", as in Tanabe DF210, Micro Image, and Tein S Techs.

X3. You don't cut the stops.
