Bleeding brakes with non-functioning ABS?
Need to flush the brake fluid on my 2007 Yaris, but my ABS is currently not working (wiring corroded/broken, fuses pulled).
My major concern is that reading online leads me to believe the ABS unit must be "cycled" to fully flush the fluid. Is it possible to jump a relay or something to cycle it? Or am I stuck trying to find someone with a fancy OBD scan tool? The FSM seems pretty vague in regards to bleeding the brakes so some guidance would be appreciated. |

The Yaris has a very primitive ABS system where you don't have to cycle the ABS when bleeding an ABS equipped one. So, just bleed them as you normally would.
