Car battery 12V 75AH

Hello, I've been using a 12 V 75 AH batt (first and second)
Now I'm replacing the second battery, the new (third) is 12V 55 AH (there is no 75 AH actually in store)
At the fisrt milles the car looks like loosing power (by aceleration keeps power on). Now after running 15 milles the car works fine.

Is enought the 12V 55AH or should replace for 75AH?

This is a Yaris HB 2008 1.5

The original Toyota battery is only a 45 Ah battery, so the 55 Ah is sufficient. The question is why are you going through batteries so quickly?

The constant heat in central america sure is a killer to car batteries.

In this country the batts life average is 2 years (some months more). I was using 75 ah because the car comes with 75 ah, but now I have been using the 55 ah for 4 days and works fine. Thanks for the replies.

The same thing happened to me. After 5 and 1/2 years, I replaced my car battery with a new one. The first few miles, my engine was idling so close to 500 that I thought it was going to stall. As I was driving, the RPM would drop really low as soon as I came to a stop. After 15 minutes, it returned to normal. I was almost going to return the new battery.

A somewhat similar thing first happened to me when I replaced my OEM battery. I posted my concern. CTScott posted to give it a few more miles because the ECM needs to relearn the fuel trims. Sure enough, after a few more miles everything was fine.

I think the key is an AGM type battery.

afternoon all
battery incorrectly installed thus issues with fuses
short:
Took a plane trip, battery down on return
charged battery
put in backwards - and + (yes i know) was that kind of a day
saw sparks so stopped and found no response from victim (car)
researched here and elsewhere

found a 'fusible link' wire at a wreckers which he gave me
nice guy
replaced it and the 15 A "dome" fuse
car works great
only radio, light and clock are off
any suggestions?
many thanks for the help
will review all the other fuses as well first while waiting
happy new year 2013 all

The Yaris does not have any significant reverse voltage protection, so you can do some serious damage connecting a battery backwards.

To start with, disconnect the two ECM (engine computer) connectors and see if DOME fuse still blows. If it does not, then you may have damaged the ECM (which is the most sensitive device to reverse voltage).
