OCV valves

is there any reason to think that the new OCV valves available on the web are better than
the original ones on the 2007s. They sell them as a 1 piece unit ,mine is 2 pieces...

Where is yours split? The OEM ones are normally one contiguous unit.

on mine the solenoid is apart from the sliding valve...maybe it wasnt that way to begin with...
however the 07s were not well designed. I wonder if its worth it to buy an 09 -10 if it will fit..

They were the same with the same part number from 06 to present (2014). If yours is separated the most likely cause is someone prying against it while tightening the drive belt.

The genuine Toyota ones can be had for about $55 new. If you are interested, I have one that I snarfed off an engine that only had 3,000 miles on it that I could do $50 shipped for.

thanks but I think I want new
btw that thing just allows oil flow to increase up the cam gallery... If you just took it off and sealed the hole ,would it be a big deal?? More oil would flow all the time ..so what..
