hey guys i thought id add this little story behind why i painted it
it was on the hood (unpainted) all was well but the middle clip was broke but it didnt effect the integrity, it was on there pretty snug wasnt moving around or anything so a week or so goes by im out doin stuff and my friend needs something from the trunk i tell him to pop the trunk and grab it cuz you cant remotely pop the trunk (which sucks) so im guessing he accidentally popped the hood without realizing and comes back hes says thanks i lock it up all is good so were all chillin whatever i go to leave later and not knowing that the hood was popped i drive away and down the block all of sudden BOOM the bug guard flys off over the roof im like what the hell pretty pissed at this point but i cant get mad at him cuz i should have just went out there when he did obvi the air just got underneath and ripped it off breaking more clips and it got scratched up so i just painted it to hide scratches i did leave it on to see what would happen but with only like 2 or 3 clips left it was shaking to much at higher speeds so i took it off any one know if you can get the clips replaced or is this thing basically junk now? thanks everybody !! |

update:
diy broken clip fix: i just used a small piece of rubber (to protect paint) with a document clip thing and used these foam blue pads i glued to the back side its on extremely snug its not goin any where. macgyvered this thing
also added these ridiculous rubber bumper pads i paint matched to protect from people who cant park cars without giving a little tap-a-roo and the diy trd drivers side mirror tape might take that off though and these seat belt pads my friend gave to me for free so i threw those on (kinda annoying though hahh) (waiting on red rear tow hook as well..) |

I like it,and the bumper pads are cool... I thought they were some kind of sensor until I read your explanation.
Looks good!
