Question Why does the wind move my Yaris HB all over the highway?

I haven't really went on the highway much, but one day i did, and i was going only 60 mph and my yaris was moving 3 feet back and forth like crazy, i bought it with lowered suspension and i thought that would make it more stable, and the car looks very airo dynamic, so i've been told. So, is it my alligmnent, tire pressure? any other components that are damaged? And NO, the wheels are not loose, i tightened all the bolts

I would have the alignment checked. I drive in mid-high crosswinds just about every day and the car definitely doesn't move around that much. Stock suspension with 15" Konig Helium and General Altimax HP factory size tires here.

What suspension/wheels/tires are you running and how much tire pressure?

Try checking your air pressure on the tires. If you have them over inflated this could cause you to be blown around. Learn to accept the fact that with a side wind you will have to stay on top of the yaris. Also have your alignment checked as that could cause you to wander.

Could be because the first time you feel the wind toss the little Yaris around, you feel like you're going to meet your maker and you need all the you can get?

Windy situations sure make a good case for dropping the car a bit.

3 feet, though, that seems like a lot. There are some good threads here, search for "wind"

Good luck .

Can the Mods start merging all these multiple threads that keep popping up over and over?? I don't recall ever seeing one merged and this topic is one example of one that get's a new thread every week.

But to prevent the need for this, let's please use the search function!

That's true too. Maybe we should have a sticky "Yaris in the wind and suggestions for improvements" or something like that?

Get a rear swaybar

Also, is there way to get a huge search button to pop-up on screen in certain sections when you hit "Post new thread"? Let's have it look like this:

Well since this zombie thread has been brought back and I was just thinking about this the other day anyway I might as well ask.

Will the rear sway bar actually help with this? It isn't normally very bad, but I can definitely feel the wind on a breezy day.
