ABS

Anyone out there with the Yaris Sedan with ABS? Wanted to know if you can hear your ABS system resetting when you first put it into gear and hit the gas. Sorta like a "ta-tink" noise

I get a "tick-tick" noise from mine not a "ta-tink". But this happened after the first week I bought the car....or was it two days after . I don't know, I forget, it's been about four weeks now since I've had the car and I still don't know what to do. The mechanic I took it to told me, drive it till it gets worse that way he can tell what the noise is by then. So, what is the noise going to sound like then when it gets worse..."tink-taaaa-tink-grrrr-ta-tink"? I'm STILL driving my car with....I guess a brake problem. Guess I've been lucky so far, I haven't killed anyone yet. Maybe the "ta-tink" is only on the ABS? I don't have ABS, so I guess that's why I get the "tick-tick" noise instead. Maybe I should get in touch with TOYOTA and have them deal with it while I'm driving a loaner vehicle that they give me until the problem is resolved and ONLY till it's resolved? I am the Customer. Any suggestions?
Hey, good luck with your car. Mine isn't perfect either.

Ok. So i just got back from the dealership after having my car there for like 2 days. They replaced my brake light switch which is what was making my brakes "tick tick" everytime i used them, i guess it was broken. This switch is located right under your steering wheel inside that dash. Sucky since it's like a month old and i dont know why such a new car would already have broken pieces?? When do you hear your tick tick?? When you use your brakes or when you drive it? Let me know maybe we had the same issue. By the way, thanks for caring about my car problems. Im way happy now that my tick tick is gone and i guess i'll just have to live with my ABS "ta-tink" unless there's like a recall. The mechanic man also told me what they told you: It needs to get worse or progress before we can fix it. Thats a bullshit answer and what i did was i went to customer relations and made the big manager man drive my car and thats what it took to (A) tell me my brake switch WAS messed up and not normal (B) that my ta tink was the ABS initiating. They were trying to blow me off or whatever but i wasnt taking that for an answer. I dont think a new car should have any noises that need to get worse before they get fixed. What the hell is the point of that? I wouldve kept ridin out in my 94' Ford Escort if i wanted something with noises.

Like I said, I like to bust balls. Nothing against you. I was just so stuck on your First thread, I wanted, like others to give you some kind of "positive" answer which is what you and others (like Myself) come here too do. BUT, there was something missing and I think that's why I was stuck on your thread. I myself needed more information to give you my positive opinion. Your second reply did give more info. which gave more insight on your alledged (did I spell it correct?) brake problem. Now we're getting somewhere . My intent was not to be rude at all to you (or anyone else). Basically, I wanted to give you an answer but felt I couldn't because I didn't get enough information, then I did but at the same time I was busting balls....there, ok?! People need to chill out .Crack a smile once and awhile..shee-it.

Now, my apology to YARIS WORLD..."sorry for TRYING to help someone out while busting balls here and there because I felt I didn't get all the info. on the problem this person/s was having".
Maybe we can be a liitle more informative and then I promise I won't bust balls .
signed,
u know who,
