Depending where you are located there are not a lot of BIT 10 tuners. The nice thing about the BIT product is you can store and share files much like a MAP from a tune on a ecu of a car. ABT electronics in Chicago has a genuine Audison BIT tuner that has been to the tuning school in Germany for this product line. This processor can be quite a challenge if you are not versed in audiophile tuning. All the processors here in the states are still trying to catch up with Audisons BIT products so when it comes to deciding on a processor choose carefully.

My shop has the bit tune and we have been through training with Elettromedia/Audison.

I know several around my area and one in Las Vegas, Jon Webb.

Thanks guys,

I may go with a 2 way system so the Bit Ten would work but...

I would like to have what the P99 gives me and if I'm not missing something goes like this:

-Individual Levels
-Slopes
-Adjust Frequency range HPF/LPF for each channel
-Phase for each channel
-Mute individual output channels
-L/R Independent 31-Band Digital Equalizer
-T/A
-Remote

I don't like the idea of using a laptop a lot because I like to do a lot of tuning on the road, but I know I could
do it with a computer without driving too.

If I have at least all these features I can tune with no problem.

Are there any tutorials on the software to see how the Bit Ten works?

Thanks again!

D,

You know I used both at the same time. I had the ability to cascade my responses if I had needed to.

Of course you wouldn't do any in-depth tuning while driving, either on the P99 or the Bit One (ten). The road and engine noise alone spoil any true critical listening.

I like it!

So basically what you do is intercept the signal from the OEM head unit to the speakers and put the Bit Ten in the middle.

So what I need is a Bit Ten, a Controller and ES3?

I'd get the Bit Ten and the DRC. This will allow you to use all the equipment from your "old" system in the MB.

You don't need a shop or a bit tune. Any shop will charge you for the service. Considering you already have 1/3rd octave EQ experience with the P-99, you can EASILY work the Bit Ten yourself.

It just takes a few minutes to get acquainted with the layout and a few weeks to fully explore the abilities and uses.

Don't hesitate to make the jump. If I can do it with the Bit One, you can do it with the Bit Ten.

Nice phone screen. I'll have to try to come up with my own!

Thanks!

I think I'm going to get a bit 10 by the end of the week, looks like a good plan and the fact that I can retain the stock head unit functions and the Bluetooth it would be Fantastic!

I'm quoting for Tint this week, 50% all around.

Here is the Full page!

Don't waste the money. It's not like you're going to blow anything up. It's just a small battery. What is the cost? around $60? You can make a home made version cheaper.

If you have a 99 why would you need bit ten? SQ wise it is hardly better. Waste of money imho

If I get the specs I can make one for sure, My RC airplanes use lots of batteries and I used to put them together.

Unfortunately there is no space for the P99 inside the CLA

Tolm...How the heck would you know? Unless I'm mistaken, you don't use either.

That being said, you're correct. The P-99 or the Bit ten don't sound better than the other. It's all in what D wants to use. If he wants to keep the stock look of his new MB (smart choice), use the Bit Ten. Otherwise, use the P-99.
