Unhappy NEED HELP - Yaris suspension part

Hi there,

I have a huge problem.....when my right front coilover broke, I lost a Toyota part called "top plate". Now, I called my Toyota dealership to order the said part, but it is back order!!! It is now 2 weeks that I'm waiting for it and Toyota cannot give me an approximate date of delivery.

The thing is, I want to signe a new contract with Toyota now for a new 2010 white pearl Yaris liftback...they have good deals at the moment, but they absolutly need to evaluate/approoved my present lease before letting me signe a new contract for a new lease (my lease only ends in 2 years, but they told me they can "rebuy" it if it is in good shape (low mileage)). The car can't roll lol, so I can't bring it for an evaluation.

It would be really appreciated if someone could call his/her dealership and ask for the part in question and ask if they can ship it to me or my dealership.

The name of the part is unclear...they call it "top plate", it's looking like a "washer" lol....and it costs around $15.00 (not more).

Thank you guys and girls!

OK. The full part number is: 48682-52040 and the name for it is: Support, Front Suspension, No. 2. It is used on Yaris LB and Sedans and on Scion xD.

If your local dealer can't get it quickly, you should try TRDSparks.com

Or if still on back-order, call some auto recyclers (wreckers). Also, ask the dealer if that part crosses to any other models. That might make a wrecker trip more fruitful.

I already asked if there was any other solution or other places where I could get the part and they aswered no.....no other dealer, and they didn't propose me an other "model".....I wanted to ask them to juste take the part off on one of their Yaris in there lol, but don't think they would have....

Sounds like your dealer just didn't want to help. You can order it from any Toyota dealer.

Like I mentioned above it is just used on Yaris and Scion xD, so for junkyard shopping you'd have to look for ones with those specific cars in stock.
