How to Reach Trouble Codes without Scanner?

Can anyone help in reading engine trouble codes without scanner, as earlier I had suzuki esteem with building in OBD, code reading was easy by jumping DIAG Fuse without any scanner.

SO is there any solution for Yaris 2006 to read OBD codes without scanner

I think you have to plug in a device to the OBDII to read codes.

Yeah, as far as I know there are no tricks to obtain the codes without a scanner. That's one thing I like about my Dodge. Chrylser/Dodge vehicles will show codes in the digital odometer if you turn the ignition key to the accessory position 3 times in rapid succession. Won't clear codes, but at least you can read them.

check eBay... but I think for the price of a good adapter you might as well order a ScanGauge, it has a lot of other useful functions too.
