yaris got broken in!
My gf left the door unlocked by mistake. Come morning time, she found all the documents, such as owners manual and other unimportant things, laying around. Luckily, all our important stuff where kept in the "secret compartment" just above the steering wheel. They didnt even check, which I think, is funny! For every yaris owner out there, I suggest you keep your documents in that unique little glove box above the steering wheel. It saved us alot of trouble!

If the doors weren't locked in the first place then they techinically didn't "break in".
Glad they didn't get anything important though. |

Never ever leave registration/insurance cards in the car. If the car is stolen and the thief gets pulled over, why help him bluff past the cops?

Always lock the doors of your car when you want to get away from it because the beautiful Yaris is irresistible to many . |

Sorry to hear about your troubles...did you have a stern talk with your gf?
Anyway glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

What the , I thought I discovered all the compartments- I guess I don't have to be asking this but is this 'secret compartment' in the 'S' sedan? Above my steering wheel? I'm bout to look like a fool trying to lift the dash- that's what I'm imagining. But if it's there that'd be cool

The sedan has an aux glove box lower left of steering wheel, looks like a fuse cover.

I agree with Kitt (see last page).
IMHO, anti-theft alarms and immobilizers are good investments. You know, in BC, some types of those items will pay for themselves in due course through the insurance rate discounts that they can obtain for their owners. Last edited by swng; 10-02-2006 at 12:53 AM. |
