Subcompact Showcase: Lifted Suzuki SX4

The latest Subcompact Showcase features Geoff's lifted Suzuki SX4. Yes that's right: A lifted SX4. It's not a rock crawler, but it does surprisingly well off-road, thanks to a few aftermarket parts.

Previous Subcompact Showcases include:

The Micro Image Yaris:

Yeah, it is kind of weird—but in a good way (I think). I guess the SX4 lifts are more popular overseas, but are gaining ground in the U.S.

It's really no weirder than lifting a RAV4 (which I have seen, too).

A Suzuki memorandum dated July 14, 1985 stated: ‘It is imperative that we develop a crisis plan that will primarily deal with the ‘roll’ factor. Because of the narrow wheel base, similar to the Jeep, the car is bound to turn over.’”

Those bastards at CR must have gotten on the inside!
