iPhone Questions
Hey everyone,
My wife just bought the iPhone 8GB 3G. To me it looks pretty sweet. But as it is not a Nokia I have a few questions i'm sure you'll be able to answer. Does the iPhone have GPS? I know it has maps and you can navigate from one point to another, but does it do this via GPS or some other method like guessing where you are based off your signal strength to the nearest 3 towers? The blutooth can only be used for handsfree and not data transfer between phones, is there an app you can download to enable the blutooth to do data transfer? Can you use a song in your iTunes on your iPhone as a ring tone? Thanks in advance.

I can only answer your first one with confidence, the 3G version does have an actual GPS, the old one would triangulate your position based on the cellular towers. And from what I've seen, it works really smoothly!

#2? = nope!
#3? = yes, but you need to change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r! btw, first you need to shorten the song to 40s before changing the file ext! Last edited by Malaya1221; 12-15-2008 at 10:34 AM. |
