Wow, thank you for a great tip. I pulled the relay for the VSC and TRC but that also killed the ABS. This was really great. I have a Yaris 1,8TS from late 2008.

I bought a second hand 2008 T3 Yaris and do not know whether it has VSC or not. Is there any way to figure it out? I can see the ABS light for a moment when I start the engine, so I know I've got that!
I mean other then trying to smoke the tires and seeing if any lights come out :p |

mat the accelerator if your car controls the speed and allows you to navigate that circle you have traction control. if you make a partial circle then start to spin out, or if the engine can rev way up and keep the wheels spinning, you do not have it |

Thanks for the tip localhost.
I was hoping that there would be some sort of more physical indicator, i.e. a light/switch/sensor that can be spotted. As I said, I don't get a "car skidding sideways" light when I switch on the engine, so my gut feeling is that I don't have VSC. Besides, it was an option, and on a 1.0 engine, I don't think the previous owner would have felt that he needed traction control! |
