Data Recovery in CA.

Anyone know a reputable place where I can take my hard drive in for data recovery? Someone smashed/violently shook my pc and now all my data is lost.

Please help ):

do you have access to a different computer?
if you do you can go get a enclosure for it and hook it up to the other computer as an external drive. if the computer recognizes it then you have a chance of regaining your data, it is cheaper than the data recovery service which will charge you an arm and a leg just to see if it's even possible to recover the data.

I had attempted that earlier with no luck ):

I installed a new hard drive into my pc and slaved my old hard drive. It recognizes it in My Computer, but when I click on it, it says it's unreadable. Also, right clicking on it to view properties, it says that the disk has 0 GB of both used and free space.

I really need my data, and I don't trust the companies that state, "Send us your hard drive, and if we cannot recover your data, we won't charge you." They could easily recover my data and then some.

Yeah, I need to back up my data more frequently now.. and that Drobo external drive looks like just the thing to have.

I'm sure there are places that could recover my data, right? I know it won't be cheap, but that's why I save up for rainy days like this ):

Hard drive failures suck

Give this program a shot, it helped me save a lot of stuff from my old laptop hard drive when it stopped working:

And the free download will salvage my lost data from a drive that's now read as unmountable/unreadable? How does that work?
