2007 3 door- Turn Signals Not Auto Cancelling After Turn Completed

@ 188,000 or so miles. Last summer, 2018 I took it in to dealer for safety recalls.
The airbag recall got me interested in moving their way about 50 miles from my rural home.

Driver's airbag, driver's seat rail and spiral cable we're the parts all of the sudden notified to me of safety recalls.

They had it done the same day.
I wasn't available to travel there until next day.

I picked it up.

Looked ok cosmetically.

I drove about 20 miles til first time I used blinker.
I think at that time I knew something wrong.

The turn signal didn't Auto cancel.

Well, it never has since in the shop some 6 months+ ago.

I called dealer the following day after the service and told them. The 2 ladies I spoke with didn't know what the spiral cable does.

One lady is the scheduler and she noted the problem in their system.

I spoke with other lady who seems to be in charge of service writers.

I told both of them I don't know when I'll be able to get back. It only took me 3 months from receiving recalls notice in mail until I could finally get there.

Well now I live even further from that dealer and they would be the only ones that maybe wouldn't charge me.

Does anyone know that the spiral cable would be the culprit? For sure....or could something else have magically failed in the short time at dealer?

Occasionally I forget the darn thing and driving with the blinker flashing...DUH!

It doesn't click now either when the blinker is on.
It seemed kind of low volume before this problem...but now...No Clickety Clickety when blinker is on.

Anybody know what's up?
DIY?

Thanks

The dealer messed up your clock sprint/spiral cable. It is in charge if the auto shut off feature. You can either do it yourself, but it is possible it is damaged and needs replacing. Go back to the dealer asap and get it fixed free of charge

Thanks all for the comments.

I looked up this dang mystery item "spiral cable" and read very important to steering. Bit different than older type rack and pinion I'm familiar with.

Dealership for repair on their dime soon I hope.
