Drop about the same as you would pay for the exhaust and the CAI into a Skip Barber course, and I can guarantee you will pick up performance. Not so much in a straight line, but on the twisties which is where it matters. Any damn fool can go fast in a striaght line - all it takes is money and a lead foot. Going fast in the corners is where you can scare the sh!t out of your wife and pass all those annoying farts in powerful cars who can't drive them properly.
yeah... reminds me of my holidays spent in NZ. Drove thru numerous mountain passes, with lots of twists and turns... great fun!!!

3. Lower/Stiffer suspension (handling, stability, looks! )
4. lightened crank pulley
5. SRI
6. Full flowing exhaust
7. Turbo kit (too costly for me )
8. NOS (only legal for track days, which my ride is not cut out for, whatever you put in it!)
9. Iridium/silver/copper spark plugs
10. Voltage stabilizers/grounding cables
I'm glad you agree... When I was test driving my Yaris, I had also tried a Scion xB with a limited edition sports package... so I got to compare handling. I think that you will find that the stability and handling improvements you get from upgrading suspension and wheels will keep you excited until you scratch up the dough to start modding the engine and airflow.

The stability will let you drive the car a bit more aggressively which will end up translating into mhp (mental horse power.)
