i drove thru that crazy rain storm the GTA had about 4years ago with a cai...no hydrolock....

the synopsis of the article in the new SCC magazine was that sri adds more hp than a cai top-end and the cai adds more tq in the low end and stock intake is the middle ground

however, both cai and sri add hp over stock by basically tricking the MAF into thinking there is less air passing by the sensor and the MAF thereby leans out the typically rich a/f ratio....hence more hp

a good read if you spend the 6$ on the mag...

Here's my thread. Not been dyno'd yet. Can tell you that I feel increased torque off the line, and a noticeable increase in power at approx 2500 rpm, and again at approx 4500 rpm.

tq down low is likely quickened throttle response from the sri....obviously the up top stuff is due to being an sri...

just my 2c though
