there's no way they stiffen the chassis, because both bars pivot with the body..

Well, with the rear strut bar you literally rendered the trunk useless.
Now with the upper brace, you can't carry any passengers at the rear.
Maybe, its time to just remove the rear seats and save some weight.

Perhaps you are turning your ride into a full-time track car?

The lower bar on top of the shocks is worth the money you can get for it at the recycling center. It does even less than the front strut bar, and just adds weight and cuts down on cargo space.

To Rockland,

You are implying that the bar made the car is "stiffer" and "ride better" all at the same time? Not that I think you are in any position to quantify handling gains.. but thanks for your opinion. I think if I gave you a battery tie down brace you would say the car handled better.
That last part was fking hilarious.

Actually this entire post was a good read. Rockland was actually right about something. Sucks it had to be at his expense tho.

Wait til they get a load of my C pillar Megan Racing brace just like Rockland's. That will really have em rolling in the aisles Garm.

On another note, I can't believe i've done the same mods as Rockland Toyota. This is a strange world indeed.

this thread is golden.

I wonder what that brace would do with some Centerline wheels?

I'm thinking about having megan make me a bar like that for the front. Any interest?

have it go between the control arms on the steering knuckle bolt directly to the subframe.. that'll keep the wheels from pivoting left to right.. it'll "corner" like it's on rails!!!!!!!
