Sake tasting, Friday, Aug 6, 5-8pm
Nisei Week, Sushi and Sake Tasting at the Kyoto Grand Hotel. $50 per person, $90 per couple, $60 at the door.
http://www.sushiandtofu.com/sushi_an...ing_201008.htm There will be over 50 kinds of quality sake and assorted sushi, shumai, seared tuna, assorted tempura, teriyaki chicken and cold noodles. If you haven't had fine sake, this will blow you away. You'll be surprised at the drinkability and flavors just from rice. I went to a sake tasting with my old GF. It was $25 per person and there was no food, only about 10 or 12 sakes. The sakes were great, but this sounds like a better deal. You can save money, if you leave your spouse at home. The real drawback is that it's Friday night, but you don't have to be there at 5. Also, I've never been to the Kyoto Grand Hotel. I would think that you can park at the hotel and get it validated. |
