Bypassing the passenger seat sensors!
I have read another thread that a resistor may be a way to bypass the sensors on the passenger seat.
Any ideas how to do this? More and more of us are installing aftermarket seats. There has to be a way to keep it "ON" all the time. |

I posted a response on another thread about a method that may work.
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...1&postcount=26 In JM350's thread he mentioned that unplugging the sensors will cause the SRS to get in a state that requires resetting by a Toyota tech. I don't think that is really true based on this quote from the SRS portion of the service manual: "When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery, the memory will be cleared. Therefore make a record of the contents stored in each system before starting work. When the work is finished, reset each system as it was before. Never use a back-up power supply from outside the vehicle to avoid erasing the memory in any system." |

No catch. If you don't start the car, while the seat is out, the SRS system won't even log an error code.
