Grinding noise at low speed Trac ABS light blinking

Hello,

My LH abs cable was faulty and I got a replacement, I also replaced my steering rack (which meant I had to disconnect battery for a long time during the rack replacement).

I have now noticed that when I drive I suddenly get a grinding noise even at low speed, during this period the car brake pedal pushes back and the the trac light blinks I am usually force to park. However if I then disconnect the abs sensor cable, I get the airbag and trac light on permanently but the grinding no longer happens. Though I get some little scratching sound when I apply brakes occasionally.

How do I fix this please? And is it okay to continue to drive with trac and airbag lights on?
