Option 1: You can tape or cap the illumination wire and tuck it away so that it doesn't touch any other wires or metal parts. This will prevent any potential short circuit or interference, but you will lose the dimming function of the radio display.
Option 2: You can connect the illumination wire to the dimmer wire of your car. This will allow the radio display to dim when you turn on the headlights, but you will need to find the dimmer wire of your car and splice it with the illumination wire of the radio. You can use a wiring diagram or a test light to locate the dimmer wire of your car.
