yaris liftback rear seats folding flat?

Are the seats on the 3-door liftback supposed to fold flat? the 60 portion of the 60/40, when folded, sits a bit higher than the 40 portion.

I believe there's two ways you can have them fold - flat, or not flat. There's a two-step mechanism.

Idjiit is correct. It's a 2-step process outlined in the manual. Mine are in that position right now.

I have a 5 spd LB and it has the full back seat, mine does not fold flat, if there was one thing about the car I could change that would be it. the rest of the car is great. Later on I may look into finding a 60/40 for it but I know it will not be cheap.
