Replacing rear shocks

I have a 2008 yaris sedan. I know that the hatchback has the location for screw for the rear shocks in the trunk, but where do I access the top screw on the sedan.

Thanks,

rear shocks

I replaced mine last year, lift up on a plastic cover in the trunk right above the tire. very easy to replace those shocks.

Sedan is not nearly as easy as the hatch. I believe you need to remove the entire plastic panel on the left and right sides of the trunk. Don't know why they didn't provision the access panel we have in the hatch.

The access is actually from the cabin not the trunk. Flip down rear seats and you will see plastic cowlings beside each seat that goes around the wheel arch.

Remove those and the shock mount is behind it. For future you can always cut a hole in the plastic as the seats cover it anyways

Well that pic might just scare the crap out of the OP. He's new and prob doesn't know why your car looks like that.

Lol, it was meant to show where the location is so that you know what is in the way that you need to remove. Not everything in that image needs to be removed!

That's what a yaris looks like when you are hunting all the water leaks!
