Not sure I follow.
I brought it in because the clutch was chattering quite badly. They said it needed to replaced and it would be covered under warranty. I asked if I could pay the difference between the OEM clutch and the TRD unit, and they said OK.

Every manual car I owned, was hard to put in reverse. All you have to do is "advance" an inch and then put it into reverse, then it's goes in easily.

What is clutch chatter?
And is it normal for the clutch to not disengage the engine at high speeds? For ex I will be doing 70 in 5th gear. When I put it into neutral that cars is still revving until about 60mph when thne it drops into a neutral gear normal low rpm. I assumed it has something to do with DFCO. Clear with my desctiption?

"Manual Transmission: Avoid Reverse Gear Grind" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN5fgRFTqys The reason is simple: the reverse gear does not has a synchronizer. Therefore, you can simply put it in the 1st gear to synchronize, then shift into the reverse gear. I have tried this trick, and it works! |
