Nitto lower tie brace review

Yesterday I received a Nitto lower strut tie brace from Garm ($149 shipped) and I installed it. I already had an UR 22mm sway bar, as my second suspension modification (the other being springs & shocks). Took me about an hour to put it in, since some of the mounting bolt holes didn't quite line up with the spring platform's holes.

Anyway, immediately after I started driving, I felt a difference. The ride was a bit less harsh, and noticeably more compliant. The car feels even more sure-footed going into a turn at like 25 - 30mph. Also it stoped the squeaking and knocking issue I had with the sway bar. For the money, this is a pretty darn good mod. Plus it looks great when you drive behind the car.

cali yaris: can you tell us about the brace here... it's purpose, installation, how it works with the anti-sway bar, and cost?

it's shiny but what does it do to a non-independent rear suspension?

how does it hold up over time? and has anyone tested it on the track?
it looks good but my only concern is that its not as durable as the stock beam, it is alot smaller, but I may be wrong

it's an add on part SAKU, it doesn't replace the rear axle.

Not to hijack the thread, but that exhaust looks awesome. How about adding that to the product offerings?

I can't explain in deep technical terms what it does. I can say that I've used this bar on the track (putting it on and taking it off on the same day), and the rear end feels more stable in turns with it on.

There must be some lateral movement that is minimized by a bar like this.

I'm sure there are people who can explain in technical terms why it shouldn't work or have any useful purpose, but here are three people, the OP, sandiego and myself that say they feel a difference -- and I have specifically tested this product at the track. If it didn't do anything at all, I would not want the extra weight on my car.
