Re lower alternator bolt:

Having read all of the above I was kinda scared to touch it. I did try to unscrew it (a little) yesterday (my sc install is coming next week) just to calm myself down that I can do it :))

What worked in my case was that I used a pretty short 3/8 inch ratchet.. which due to its short length I was able to position very conveniently inside the engine bay (ratchet handle pretty much parralel to the ground) and was able to apply very steady force to unscrew the bolt (just turned the bolt 360 degrees and then tightened back). No wd40 was used.

alternator bottom bolt

I just did mine this past weeknd and I used a swivel ratchet like the one in this picture with a six point socket, also put something behind the ratchet head between it and the car frame to keep it from popping off when you apply pressure. It also helps if you apply some Pb blaster as best you can on the bolt threads to loosen up, just don't over spray that stuff is STRONG. Then put anti-sieze on the threads when you put the bolt back on for easy removal next time, guarrentee. good luck.
