Please help!!

Has anyone else had problems with your battery.on your Yaris going out in 11 months? Is this something I need to get checked out or is it just a common thing?

I wouldn't say it's common but even a new battery can go bad, it might have a dead cell or you might have a draw on the battery while sitting.

A draw? Forgive my ignorance, I am just clueless. When I try and start my car it sometime cranks quite a few times until it starts but it only does it sometimes.. My battery tested bad but I dont know how reliable the test was. Would my battery cause the starting problem?

It certainly could, especially if it has just gotten colder where you live. One way to test to see if the battery is your problem is start your car with jumper cables attached to another car. If it starts right up, then yes - your battery is most likely to blame.

My stock battery just became unusable overnight when the temps dipped here. It was about 3.5 years old already and attempting to start one afternoon just lit up my dashboard and spewed a bunch of quick clicks.

PS, a "draw on the battery" just means having something connected to it that is actively sipping power.

The tests from Auto Zone seem reliable to me. You probably got a bad one from the start. I usually get 4-5 years on a battery.
