Red face Help! Tapping into reverse light for rear view camera

Hi folks,

I own a 2006 Yaris (sedan) and I am planning to install a rear view camera for my wife.

I haven't had experience in doing this but I've seen a lot of diy videos on youtube and felt like I could give it a shot

The thing i am confused about is wiring the camera to the reverse light cable. Upon inspection, the reverse light has no cable. Its just a bulb that turns on by twisting it into position more or less. Am i looking at the wrong place? I've uploaded some photos for reference (the reverse cable bulb sits in the circle area with the red arrow). Apologies for being a total noob but would really appreciate any guidance/advice.
