Sent my letter to the CRB about the B-Spec rules and the Yaris. Now the 07' and up are legal, making it much less expensive to get in the class.

Thank you for your input on vehicle weights. The wheel offset has already been removed. Any traction control systems for
which there is no manufacturer provided defeat mechanism must remain operable.
In 9.1.7.D.34, change the model years of the Toyota Yaris from "2010-2011" to "2007-2011".

No, I tried to work with them on that (they allow the 06' in H Prod), but in the other classes it has to be a USDM car with a verifiable (US) VIN.

You guys are driving me crazy. I can't even get my '87 Celica GTS (PTE) car finished for NASA racing, and now you have to fill my head with Yaris B-Spec ideas!!! I'm going to sit here in the corner and pretend I didn't hear all this, lo lo lo lo!

You said Yaris 2 and 4 door. Does that include the Sedan or is that in another class. I really need to get back to work on my car. It has a NASA spec cage in it and it retains the full interior. Would love to finish it and come out to compete soon.

Currently only the hatches are classed. You would have to submit a request to get the sedan put in. http://crbscca.com/

imo the sedan should be the better car... Lower roof line, longer wheelbase and weighs the same.

B-Spec goes Pro in 2012: (I will overlook the fact they forgot to mention Toyota)

Hmm ... so Sonic is in. I assume they'll have to run their 1.8 n/a engine and not the 1.4 turbo?

Yes, NA only. We should have revised weights and restrictor plate specs for the "big" motor cars in the next few weeks.

Well, with the weight of the Sonic, it probably won't need much help in the ballast department. It's a good 400+ lbs. heavier than a '12 Yaris (in stock form).
