Carpet pulls out of the sides in rear seat area

Anybody else have an issue where the carpet pulls out from under the B pillar trim and the rear sill panels from people getting in an out of the car? It's almost like the carpet is too short so it doesn't stay underneath the panels when it gets pushed down a bit.

Yes, I have the same problem. The carpet barely fits under the plastic door sill and easily pulls out if you don't keep your feet in the middle of the floor and away from the edge close to the sill. I guess Toyota could have been a little more generous with the width of the carpet.

Jeez. What year is your car? Mine in question is a French built 2014 Yaris LE. My 2008 Yaris sedan doesn't do this sort of thing...

Yes, a French built 2014. I like my 2014; however, the quality doesn't approach that of my 2007.

My French 2014 doesn't have this problem.
Could you use some spray on adhesive to stick the carpet in place after first removing the sill trims?
If it doesn't work, and you ensure all the doors are shut when you do it, I can guarantee you'll leave the car laughing and singing for a while!

I have Canadian 2015 LE, I was vacuuming the car and remembered this post. All my rear carpet is where it belongs, looks good. I need to qualify that back seat seldom gets used. I can see that the interior probably would not look to good if it was abused. Mine is pretty mint and will likely stay that way and I really like the seats. At any rate, am at 41,000 KM's and am really enjoying it.Cheers

If you push down hard in the corners of the rear carpeting, it will cause it to pop out if there's an issue. I just looked at a used 2015 ex rental car and stomped the hell out of the floor and it didn't do it so it must just be a defect with a few of the french built 14's or something.
