Requests: Pics of your aftermarket headunit

I have Yaris RS with the black trim, and i find that the stock MP3 player/CD changer doesn't quite match the interior. Considering an aftermarket unit, but want to see some photos first. Also, would a double-din unit fit without modification? (ala Pioneer Z1) Thanks!

If your current factory head unit is an integrated type, you will need to change the whole plastic front.

Is that the OEM Nav that they use in all Toyota's? Where did you get it and how much?

this looks like the 2007 solara navigation unit, which you can buy online. i think even ebay has it up for auctions every now and then. i know this since i have this unit installed in my 2006 sienna as well! however, i didnt think this unit could work in the yaris since in order to get it to work in my sienna, i needed to have the toyota jbl sound system, which luckily my van did. the connectors for this unit are totally specialized for connecting into the toyota jbl amplifier (different wiring, plugs and harnesses). i can say that this unit is great, i think much better than most aftermarket units. mine has a 7" screen (most have 6.5"), MUCH higher screen resolution than most units, 3-D directions during freeway merges, day/night modes, bluetooth, and a 4-disc mp3/wma built-in cd changer (all my songs are on mp3 discs, which removes the need for an ipod connection, but my wifes ipod works with the aux input anyways!!). if someone can show me how to hook this up to the yaris, then we'll be owning TWO of these units...

Best looking HU in my opinion. I have the ipod adapter for it too, so I just plug the ipod into the cord that I put into the glove compartment. And you can control the ipod right off the HU. Sound quality is far far better then an aux cable, and no wires seen, no need to crab the ipod to change songs...its great

But you have to upgrade your system stock audio sucks beyond words.

To answer all the questions. It's the optional head units available here that has sat nav. It's pure plug and play for the audio bits. The extras are the speed sensors and GPS receiver (both will come with the kit). The sound out of this unit is a lot better plus it's so much easier to use than the aftermarket units which tend to have small buttons that aren't as intuitive as the factory unit. I mean I can work this unit pretty easily when I am driving.
