Interesting! This car is way more popular than I was expecting:

Really interesting! Given the recent gas price level, the Yaris' fuel economy must be one of the reasons for its popularity.
I expect that those who buy the Yaris for its gas mileage will come to appreciate its many other virtues sooner or later.

Don't know if it's the isolation of living on an island...but I've yet to see another one on the road, sedan or liftback...

I have not seen a yaris on the road on coastal NC. I may be the first next weekend. The car is well made, but the mileage made me look and the toyota quality made me buy.

They are everywhere in the Greater Vancouver area. By the way, such a easy to drive/park car is still not used widely by the driving schools. Many of them still use the Corolla. I expect that the scene will change eventually.

I've seen a bunch of sedans, but only one liftback in Milwaukee. They must be selling -- there aren't any on the lots!
