Yaris GRMN To Get Supercharged 1.8-Liter

The word is out that the upcoming hot-hatch Yaris GRMN will actually be powered by a superchraged 1.8-liter and not the turbocharged 1.6 liter. More info here:

I was at the dealership today. I was talking with some techs, and they brought this up and said the yaris WAS getting a supercharger. they did not know the engine size it was going to be.

Not a supercharger. They talked about a 1.8 compressor engine

Different words for the same thing. Mercedes also sometimes call their supercharger, "kompressor". Basically, that's what a supercharger actually is.
