Question Just Bought a 2009 Yaris Hatchback 4 Cyl Auto!! CASH DEAL!! Good Deal??????

Hi Everyone,
Well, today I did it, paid cash for a 2009 Yaris Hatchback Automatic 4 Cyl Engine in Polar White color. I have been calling around about 50 dealerships looking for the best Cash Out The Door Deal and think I got one hell of a deal! Here is what I got, 2009 Yaris Hatchback Automatic in Polar White New with 36 Miles on it which has the Weather and Convenience Package for $12,100 OUT THE DOOR with freight, Pennsylvania 6% Sales Tax, All the Fees included. $12,100 OTD. The invoice was $13,005 for the Auto and the about $800 for the Convenience and Weather Packages Combined along with Freight and PA Tax and Processing Fees comes out out about $15,300 so I think I got one a great deal? None of the other dealers could compete and laughed when I told them of this dealers best offer. I did get the $1,000 Toyota Rebate. I went in the dealer and gave him the cash and was in and out pretty quick with no hassle. How great was this deal in your opinion?? Thanks!

It’s a better deal than I got a year ago for the same thing. In a years time it went from a sellers market to a buyers market. You did things the right way. Not buying from the first dealership you went to, not trading in, and kept at it until you got the best price.

A neighbor pulled up in a new Nissan Extera after trading in a 3 year old Marono with 30k miles on it. Said the dealership sent a mailer saying that they wanted his trade in. The only way he knew that he got a good deal is that the dealership told him so. I told him nice car while thinking to myself he probably could have saved $2,000 if he checked around some more.

Great Deal!!! I paid $12,500 out the door for a USED automatic sedan with the same packages and 20k miles on it last year. It was a deal last year in the sellers market with gas a $4/gal, and yeah the sedans do cost more, (but not by much.) Oh well, I needed the car last year and I love it so I shouldn't have an regrets. Great deal though, you'll love it! Congrats!

good deal! My local toyota dealership are out of yaris and few nearby dealership only have one or two on their lots. Also gasoline prices has skyrocked in my area. The cheapest place in town (that I've come across) is $2.59 for regular. Some are near $3.00 a gallon and going up.

I got mine for $15,000 canadian OTD. for the same car.
Its all in how well you haggle these days, no prices are in stone its all suggested retail, and check what rebates and discounts are avialable.

I have to say You got a very good deal ! Congratulations.
I bought my 2008 Yaris back in March 2008 for $11.800 OTD brand new here in Oregon but it was the basic package, manual and no radio

(paid cash too but I was told at the dealership that was making no difference to them.......hmmmmmm....)

Wink

Thanks for all your kind words everyone! I was just at the right place at the right time I guess. $12,100 Out The Door With PA 6% Tax, Fees, Freight, is unheard of here on the east coast. I called about 35 dealers within 300 Miles of my home in Pennsylvania and nobody could match it or come close Out The Door Cash. Any guess as to why they would take so low of an offer? I got the $1,000 Cash Back Rebate which was included in that offer, included in the $12,100 I mean.....
