The stuff you want to pick up is available at Auto Zone or Pep Boys and it's made by 3M if I'm not mistaken, it's called body molding trim tape. The double sided foam adhesive tape is gray in color and has thin red plastic tape you peel off to expose adhesive.

So it was 11:30 in the morning, I brought the garbage down, it had already been 93ºF/34ºC outside for several hours and the rear-end of my car is facing straight east...

Took me about 10 seconds on each the TOYOTA and the YARIS badge without any tools. As difficult as peeling the top slice of bread of a peanut butter sandwich. Just a bit of glue residue left, and some goo-off will take care of that later today.

Why not wait until it's hot outside, Yarflana? Will be much easier then.

Did it last night. Took 30 mins, mainly to get the residue off. After 5 years, you can see, from the right angle, how the exposed paint is a tad darker than where the paint was under the badges.

did mine yesterday, just hit it with a hair dryer to warm it up then peeled it off. the emblems come off really easy, it's the giant globs of glue that are hard to get off. had to use my driver's license to scrape it away slowly then cleaned it with a little alcohol. luckily my car's a 2010 so the fading is minimal.

I like the cleaner look. Maybe just keep the Yaris on though.

I wish our yota' badges didn't leave weird shapes on the bumper and hatch...I want to remove them so bad.

This was one of the first mods I did to my vehicle. Removing the Toyota (letters and symbol) and YARIS badges with some strong thread wasn't too hard. but the adhesive they used on the '07 sedan is apparently stuff they use on the space shuttle; it's SO hard to remove. Did it in the 2PM Florida sun at 86 F, and coat after coat of Goo Gone and soaking, scrubbing, scraping with a rubber scraper, and a car sponge with a little car soap, I got it off in about a half hour. Apparently, TOYOTA is embossed onto the trunk lid. But, with some light rubbing compound, Turtle Wax Swirl Remover, and a good waxing and now it looks pretty great. I'm thinking of getting a nice sticker to put in that recessed spot, unless I find a particularly cool emblem to throw in there.

Side(ish) profile:

sorry if my images are too big, this is my first post here (long time lurker). I finally had something to contribute.
