I've already had about 10 people assume that my Yaris is an electric car. I suppose it's a side-effect from the Prius's popularity.

I roll up to gas stations like a rock star. If they aren't in my face asking if they can sit in it, they're staring around the pump.

Ive been asked if my car is a hybrid. I just tell them no but the car does have the engine that the hybrid uses.

That's nothing

About a month ago I was going through the drive-thru at McDonald's and when I pulled up to the window, one employee said to the other:

"See, you can't hear the engine cause it's one of them plug-in cars"

I told them the only problem I had was when I reached the end of my extension cord and the car shut off.

I park way far away wherever I go and more often than not there is somebody out the looking at my car (usually they drive!) This one guy at Wegmans (big grocery store chain here) wanted to know everything, I felt like the worlds most honest salesman.....he even wanted to hear the stereo!!

I thought it was electric, been having it nearly 3 weeks and haven't put any gas in it.

I've been asked acouple times if myne was a hybrid

The funniest question I have been asked is
Is it fast enough to drive on major highways?

I usually replay
It will only do about 180 +/- 5kph on the QEW or I 190, I don't know about a major highway though :)
