Servco Rant (need help, too)

When I went to register the Yaris at DMV last week, I noticed that the model type was shown as "4DSD" (4 door sedan) when my car is a 2 door hatchback (or liftback).
I explained it to them, but they said that Servco issued it at as a 4DSD and that I'll have to go to Servco to have them correct the problem.
So I go to Servco, tell them about this, and they tell me that they'll call me after they find out the problem.
I called them today, the lady tells me that they did make a mistake and she sent in a correction to change the "4DSD" to "2DSW" (2 door stationwagon). WTF?
So now, I explain to them, "Toyota doesn't make a Yaris stationwagon". The lady tells me that all 2 door Yaris are registered as a 2DSW (stationwagon) in Hawaii.
I tried to explain to the lady again, but it just went out her other year.

Now I need your help. If you have a 2 door hatchback, could you please check your TITLE and registration and tell me what is printed on your certificate?
On the top it should have:

MAKE TOYT______TYPE THIS IS THE PART I NEED TO KNOW. Mine says 4DSD

If it gets worse, I would like someone to travel with me to Servco and help me out by just showing what's printed on your Title so that mine can be corrected... Thanks.

Is there a reason why 2dsw would produce any problems down the road? I understand 4dsd being a problem (seeing as how that model is completely different), but 2dsw should be acceptable, no?

edit: You also might wanna think twice about putting your phone # on a public forum for all to see.

yeah, I know - I'll leave my number up for a few days then I'll delete it.

2DSW just isn't right. Yeah, I may be anal, but I think Servco has got to get it correct.

As long as the VIN # matches up and the description isn't completely wrong (as it was before, with the 4DSD description), not really worth the time and effort to change imo. But it's not up to me how you decide to use your free time. So I'll just wish you good luck.

All I need to know is what is printed on your Title next to TYPE. Thanks.

BTW what is the weight of a 2dr versus the 4dr?

Mine says 4DSD.
But that's b/c i have a 4D sedan.
And seriously, i don't see the problem here. I work with VIN# all the time, and errors are made on a consistent basis (by the manufacturer or the dealer).

in 2007 the 4d was 2290 i believe. The 2d is 5-10 lbs heavier.

Update for the OP... I checked my registration in my car and it's categorized as a 2DSW. So looks like the dealership was right and you're stuck with that.
