A few people have done some deadening in their cars on the forum here
this is the one i read http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27361

If you believe the sound is coming from the wheel wells the most, you could try pulling off the plastic liner in there and spraying a can of bedliner inside the wheel wells and put it all back together and see if that helps

Live with it. Get used to it. We all do.
Rare is the Yaris owner who takes sound deadening measures.

I know I bought Knuconcepts sound deadening material. I then gutted the entire car. I put pieces/sheets anywhere the sheet metal would resonate when I rapped on it from the outside. It was alot of work, but it really helped.

I also added sound blocking material between the door trim panels and the door shell. It helped with alot of the noise also.

I did have to come to the terms with the fact, that is is a econo car and noisy. Quiet costs lost of money and time.
