OK. I'm gonna make use of this thread.
Instead of FH, I prefer trusting a fellow Yaris owner.
Where is a good place for tinting? How much was it?
I'm looking to get my car tinted soon. The place that I went the last time closed down.

Got mine done at TnT, but I paid big bucks for it. 35% (darkest legal in Hawaii, as you probably know) smoke colored "ultimate" tint. Cost a little over $300. Guess I paid mostly for the lifetime warranty since TnT's been in the business for quite a while. Servco gets all their tinting done with TnT so it seems like a pretty solid place. Most places offer lifetime warranties on their tints but who knows how long they'll be around?

Only junk thing is they refuse to tint the top 4" of the windshield because of the dot matrix on there. I've been debating getting it done at some other shop with 5% tint. One of my coworkers went to Al's Tinting in Aiea. They're pretty popular amongst the tuners, but I've also heard some horror stories about that place.

forget al's tinting. if you go anywhere that does illegal tinting, they give you not receipt or refund. which means you can drive off the lot and there could be a scratch, bubble, etc.. in the tint that you didn't see before you left and they won't fix it. that is how they do the illegal tint. you get no receipt.

i went with tnt. I got the most expensive one there. the ceramic one. but if you go to their online website and print out a coupon ( i believe you type in your email and they email it to you ), you will get the "E pricing." Takes like 100$ off no joke. I go with tnt for the quality and lifetime warranty. can't be cheap when it comes to tint!

You type in your vehicle's information and then they give you an estimate. I think they email it to you with the "e-price."

Aw crap. I don't have a printer. Came out to $320 for the ceramic.
But wait... the 2dr and 4dr are categorized together. That's weird.
I'd figure the 4dr would cost more because of the window count.
Anyway, does that include the "little" window on the doors too?

I second TnT. I think we've done 5 cars there or so over the years including my '71 Mini that they had to hand cut. Always been impressed with their work.

I just visited Servco Mapunapuna. All Yaris on the lot were 2009. 2 were 5dr S. All autos.
I must say, the front of S factory kit looks really nice - you could probably attach it to
your bumper since it's not a one piece.

You're better off just getting an aftermarket kit. You get the full kit for WAY cheaper, and it's far more unique.
