You could ask 10k if it is in tip top condition however it might take longer to sell at that price. 9k if in "good" condition, but seriously consider accepting 8500-9k if offered.

04's had all the problems... Oil pan baffle, lower control arm failures, about a dozen ecu recalibration, the list is long. Nearly all of the issues were fixed by 2005MY, and 06+ is a much better car. Also the 04' 4spd auto has the really weak 4-port motor, its way down on power. The 2006+ AT cars get the 6spd auto, and the more powerful 6-port engine - its still detuned from the manual cars (due to the 7500rpm redline VS 9000 for the man), but way better than the setup the 04-05 AT cars got. Pass on an 04' every time. These cars are cheap and plentiful, you should have no problem finding a better one.

^ agreed with Jason above, a friend of mine had one of these, the early AT models were pretty crappy, they had to reduce the power so as not to overwhelm the transmission. As for the "paddle shifters", it's still shifting an automatic, don't expect Ferrari-like 150ms response times...
Beautiful car though, amazing design and balance, but the early AT version would best be avoided if you want to enjoy driving it...

I don't really understand your question... Are you asking if your could flip the RX-8 for $11k after owning it for a few months? If so, not a chance. An early RX-8 with those kind of miles is an $8k car all day long. These cars have terrible resale value.

automatic rx8 LOL it will have less power than a manual yaris. Skip it unless you want to walk more than you drive.
