Check engine light on
My '07 Yaris has about 34,000 miles on it and my check engine light just came on. I took it to the dealer and they said that the car had a problem with one of the cam gears. He didn't go into a lot of details, but they have the part on order and I have to take the car back tomorrow. For now they say it is safe to drive.
This is what the diagnosis was on my invoice: Code P0012-- CAM SHAFT A OVER RETARDED BANK 1 ORDERED GEAR AND VALVE COVER GASKET Just an FYI for people that might have the same problem soon. I know I probably have a few more miles on my car than a lot of people, so I don't know if this problem has been seen a lot yet or not. |
