What makes me cry is the gas mileage of this rental Impala.. ugh.. almost a quarter tank just to drive 40 miles on the highway.

You can always take it back and trade it for a smaller, more efficient car.

I can relate. When my last car got totaled, I picked out a Pontiac G6 from the rental company because it was the last car on the lot and I desperately needed a ride for work. After 8 days of use and $150 blown on gas alone, I traded it in for a Nissan Versa until my claim check was ready, which was 15 days later. Even though I eventually decided on the Yaris as my first new car, the Versa was almost as good on gas. $50 to refill before returning. It also cost me less to rent.

You shouldn't be stuck with the Impala

Why get a dog food-vacumming Rottweiler when all you can afford to feed is a Chihuahua?

What I'm getting at is: Why rent an expensive gas-guzzler when all you really need is something practical?

Hope you make the right decision, and hope you get your car back soon

Blech. No thanks. It's not a pretty sight. It's also very dangerous aside from the obvious part about having a deer inside your car. They have really sharp hooves, and they'd be all freaked out / injured from getting smacked by your car.

They swear they aligned it. It didn't do it before I smacked the deer. I wonder if it's just a flat spot? I looked and didn't see anything.

get out the tape measure and give it a check to be sure. they could have said it, but that person that said it might be under the impression that it was aligned, ya never can be too sure.

Well I gotta put the stock steelies on anyways (for snow.. ugh), and they have to lifetime guarantee everything. So he said if it still bounces with the stock wheels on he will do something.

The whole situation has sucked. Never going to the same place again. =/

I hope it's ok. I can walk up and down my street and count a dead deer every 1/4 mile. Luckily I have not had an close calls. I've been able to knock out a few birds though lol
