My trim rings and center caps.....

Ok, the weather is nasty out there and I'm bored, So here's a pic of my trim rings and center caps.

I went with ABS chrome rings as was suggested.

I then added center caps that I got on e-Bay for $10 for all four.... brand new.

Some on here said to get ABS chrome rings FTW and they were right.
Plastic wont bend for one thing.. The ones I got were from e-Bay and I'm very pleased with the quality. The don't rattle at all.

As far as center caps , there are a few options and it's really up to personal opinions.
I originally wanted the ones I got and got lucky when I got them.

i want to get center caps, but am apprehensive about size. os there a certain size we have to look for?

there are some on ebay that come off of a cressida, cant see the back of them so i dont know how they attach. they are big enough that they surround the lugs. is there a measurment to look for?

Center caps just snap into the center opening on the wheel much like a hub cap.

As fas as what will fit, I just do know that if is for a Tercel or Corolla, it will most likely fit.

Exclamation Bent rim...

sorry to bump, but I'm concerned this bend on the wheel will affect a trim-ring placement..

thoughts?

suggestions to fix?
(sorry for horrible pic)

Give it ago ans see if the trim ring sits flush. Otherwise... I see a big hammer in your future.

That more than likely wont affect the trim ring being on there.... they attach at the inner part of the lip not the outer part. The trim ring will probably even hide the bent lip.

lmwfy, PM RedRide and ask how his centre caps fit. They look to be the same as your caps.

Mine fit perfectly.

OK I got around to taking a cap off to measure it and guess what...

I was wrong. The caps do not attatch to the inside of the hole but, on the outside of the hole lip. I guess I wasn't paying close attention whan I installed them in a hurry.
I'm sorry if I caused any confusion.

Anyway, the hole and caps mount measures about 2 and 3/16 "

This is a work in progress...still need to pick up trim rings. I am not a big chrome guy...probably will pick up some stainless steel and modify to give them more of a gunmetal look.

I picked up the same center caps a lot of people on this forum have...then had a little arts and crafts time and painted the logos to match the white of the car. Wanted them to pop a bit more.

Oh also, to get them to stay put (they didn't feel too secure just snapping onto the center ring) I added a dab of latex caulk to each contact point. Will keep them on tight, but still be removable with a bit of work.
