How did you run the wideband A/F cable into the car?
I just got a wideband A/F gauge and the sensor unit needs about a 1 inch hole to feed through. The other end is a rectangular plug and needs a 1 1/4" square hole.
I figured the 1" hole would be easer. I'll be getting a bung welded to my midpipe right after the Megan header. The exterior cable with the two ends mentioned above is only about a foot long. Is there a large enough feedthrough that exists or did you guys drill new holes into the car? TIA

It applies to anyone who wants to install gauges but is looking for a DYI on running wiring into the interior.
BTW. I've already used the hole in the firewall that is next to the ECU.

Is there a rubber floor plug? Sorry, I no longer own my Yaris. Also, You could buy a correctly sized rubber gromet and get a 1inch hole saw drill bit...

passenger side, where the floorboard meets up with the firewall there is a hole and grommet that you can use.... I seem to remember, but I am not sure, as I no longer have my yaris anymore and the wife will not let me lay a hand on hers

Thanks, Red and Black Yaris. I'll look under the car.

I haven't. It took me too long to change the plugs and the intake, plus clean up the S/C cable that I did not get a chance to get to it. I can't have anything loose in the car for AutoX and having a gauge laying on the floor won't cut it. I think I'll get a chance next Saturday and will take it to the muffler shop. It should be easier to see my options when the car is up on the lift.

Start another Oil Thread!
|
i cut the stock o2 sensor grommet open (secondary) and slipped the wideband in with stock wiring, then glued it back shut
