bottom long bolt for alternator
07 hatch 1.5L
When I dis assembled my alternator off the bracket I forgot to label the long bolt that holds and pivots the alternator at the bottom... Does it go IN from the left or in from the right?? The bolt doesnt seem to fit in from the left but the seat on the mount kind of looks like the head sits on it.. and I thought I remembered it from the left but.... Which way????? this is the long pivot bolt.. |

My '10 LB has the bolt from the front (belt side) of the alternator. I have no idea if the '07 is the same.
BTW, the nut doesn't look like a standard nut. I couldn't get a pic of the bolt head (my camera is to big to fit) but the head is definitely on the belt side of the alternator mount. |

My 2007 looks like the photos Stove Posted.
Bolt goes in from the belt side and the nut is in the notch holding it from possible turning as the bolt is tightened. |

I got it , what a pain..... no room to do anything... this rig is for mechanics for sure.
