New fuel pump, fuel gauge showing full
I have a 2010 Toyota Yaris hatchback that won't start. The engine cranks but doesn't turn. I had a mechanic look at it and he mentioned that the fuel pump was bad.
I decided to tackle this myself to save some money. I bought the whole fuel pump assembly listed below. But the car still doesn't start. I also do not hear the fuel pump priming. Before I replaced the pump, the fuel gauge was reading empty now it reads full. If I unplug the pump, the gauge still reads full. Fuel gauge also shows full when I plug the original fuel pump assembly in. Any suggestions? https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...pR8Nc7JG51vd3b |

I pulled and replaced the fuel related fuses and now the fuel gauge shows that the the tank is empty. I put in at lease 4 gallons of gas in so I know it's not empty. I'm guessing this fuel pump assembly might not be compatible.
