Only Happy When it Rains

There is no be secret to buying aftermarket wheels. If you don't know the brand name, don't buy it.
As for some brand names that are worth looking into, check out tirerack.com. Also note Ray's Engineering, http://www.mackinindustries.com/md/index.html anything they make will be very good quality. And some oem wheels are worth it if you know what to look for. The stock 14" wheels from the 1982 Toyota Supra weighed about 8 lbs. Sadly though the bolt pattern is 4X115. And one last thing, any of the wheels imported from japan should be pretty high quality, it would be silly for them to import junk wheels from japan.

Another good place to check out is www.discounttiredirect.com. I've bought several sets of wheels/tires from them.
Keep in mind wheels from Rays are über expensive. I really haven't heard any horror stories about alloy wheels on cars, other than say, the clearcoat peeling or the wheels beginning to oxidizde. That or bending wheels via potholes, but that can happen to the strongest of wheels (ala Rays' Volk Racing wheels). Many of the less-expensive wheels can be pretty heavy, but are usually pretty strong. Many of the wheels come out of the same factories, but get different centercaps, too. There are actually relitively few wheel manufacturers compared the the amount of brands on the market. |

I am leaning towards this color as my favorite. My last 2 vehicles were silver and I am sick of silver now

That Aussie YRX (in DVS' small pic) looks fantastic. I think the front spoiler balances the look perfectly. I wouldn't do anything more to the body. I'll have to see what I can do to get one.

There is a website listed here somewhere (oztoyota.com I think), but I might try to go through my dealer. I don't know if the front bumper on the Oz Yaris is the same, though that MIGHT not matter since it is just a spoiler.

No. You have to find a site to host the pic.
I use http://www.theimagehosting.com/ to host my pics. Then the site will give you a link to your pic, which you paste into the reply window, and that should work.

It isn't that complicated, should only take a minute to set up.

You can use the Paperclip in the toolbar to upload pictures. No need to use a host site for your pictures
I just added this animated picture to show you it can be done----> *Find a picture you want from your hard drive and upload it here using the paperclip above, once you upload just click on file in the upload window and it will appear in your post window as an attachment but will show up as a picture once you save your post* |

^ its not a sticker, TRD is embossed into the lip of the wheel.
i have a 195 on the front because i got a great deal on a pair of slightly used yokohamas up front. 205's in the rear because tirerack was selling them for stupid cheap. that 10mm extra width barely makes a difference visually, and the car will not be driven anywhere near the limits. its a commuter car |
